“We”, “Us”, and “Our” refer to Safety First Australia Pty. Ltd. T/A Safety First Risk Management.
The type of information we hold varies depending on the type of service we are providing, for example we hold different information about you if you have attended a training course than we would if we were providing injury management services to your employer.
In general, we may hold the following information:
Training course attendee:
Name, date of Birth, Telephone No. Employer Name and Address, any medical conditions that may impact on the training.
Injury Management:
Where we are assisting with a work related injury that you have sustained, We may hold personal details such as Name and Address, doctors name and address and telephone number. We may also hold medical records both past and present that are relevant to the injury we are managing.

How do we use this information?
We use this information to provide training to you and in relation to injury management, services outlined in our agreement with your employer.
Do we usually share information with other companies?
We share information with our internal and external service providers such as our injury management services, your employer, your employer’s insurers or representatives, rehabilitation consultants and any other organisations who have a legitimate interest in managing the case or we are legally bound to provide information to under the law.
Do we provide any information to commercial mailing lists?
NO! It is a strict policy that Safety First will not knowingly provide any information for commercial mailing houses and where it has a choice we will not deal with any organisation that does. We believe the privacy of our clients and the staff of our clients to be of paramount importance.
How do we deal with a request for access to personal information?
Under the National Privacy Principles you or your representatives are generally entitled to access the information we hold about you. Where you are entitled to access the information we will also try to conform to the way you would like the information to be given to you, for example if you phone with an enquiry we will if possible answer the enquiry over the phone.
However information we deem sensitive or personal such as medical or work related information we reserve the right to ask for a written request and provide the answer in a written form only.
If the information has been archived a fee reflecting our costs (internal or external) may be charged prior to releasing the information. Where we believe it is our right not to give the information and that in our mind there are legitimate reasons for doing so we will inform you in writing of our view.
What if some of the information we hold is wrong?
Please tell us so that we may update our records. Unless we disagree with you about the accuracy or completeness of a record, we will generally correct it on request, (or suggest alternative arrangements for updating our records). If we disagree with you we will give you our reasons.
