Safety First Risk Management has built a base of expert assessors who are able to conduct a variety of safety, health and training audits in line with current Occupational Safety and Health Legislation. These include:

• WorkSafe Plan Assessments
• Machinery and Equipment Audits
• Occupational Health and Safety Audits
• Training Audits

We can evaluate workplace practises, policies and behaviour to build an initial picture of your specific safety needs.

Ongoing safety audits also ensure that an organisation’s systems are monitored for compliance alerting management to areas of concern. This allows the organisation to take the required action to stop injuries from occurring and enabling companies to build safer, healthier workplaces.

Auditing Under Current Legislation

Safety First’s expert assessors conduct a variety of safety, health and training audits in line with current Occupational Safety and Health legislation. These include:

• WorkSafe Plan Assessments

  The WorkSafe Plan is a workplace Occupational Safety and Health accreditation system run by WorkSafe WA. It aims to reward those companies that are striving towards best practice with either Silver or Gold certificates.

  Many businesses working in partnership with Safety First and utilising the full Safety First Programme receive awards under this system.

• Safety Audits

  Safety First can design a workplace audit for your organisation and then carry out the audit on a regular basis, though at random times. Safety First then reports to you the compliance of your staff with your safety practices.

  The independent nature of the audit process gives it authority and credibility and prevents the unhelpful situation of staff auditing other staff.

• Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Audits

  These can be done on anything from a factory to a piece of equipment to ensure that it complies with any current legislation.

• Training Audits

  Safety First is a Quality Endorsed Training Organisation; we are able to audit your training needs and existing programmes.

• HACCP

  This is the new food safe standard and Safety First is able to audit your food preparation areas to ensure they comply with new regulations.

You As Our Priority

The auditing approach that Safety First takes is not a dictatorial one - we prefer to work with the employer to help them work out any problems. Before we write our reports, we discuss with management our findings and the possible solutions to ensure you are able to take appropriate action.

The process is independent and transparent and focused on workplace safety as an attainable outcome.
