Evacuation & Fire Extinguisher Course

	To provide participants with information that will enable them to calmly deal with an Emergency Evacuation and assist them to identify the type of fire and the correct extinguisher to be used. Participants will also receive simple First Aid training for clients or staff injured by the effects of fire.

Course Content

Elements required for a fire to start, the fire triangle/likely causes, cigarettes, electrical etc.
Classes of fires
Types of portable fire extinguishers – health effects
Selection and use of portable fire extinguishers
Important points to remember when fighting a fire
First Aid – Burns & Smoke inhalation
Assisting disabled clients

This course is especially relevant for anyone in the workplace who could face a fire or plays a role in responding to workplace emergencies.
