Safety First has developed an innovative approach to managing injured workers and providing a framework to minimise lost time and prevent injuries from recurring or being aggravated. Drawing on many years of human resource management experience and detailed workplace injury knowledge the Safety First Injury Management Team can cater their dynamic services to the needs of various businesses and industries.

How it’s Possible

Communication is the key to effective injury management and with professional management allows the employee to return to full pre-injury duties as quickly as possible.

If an injury occurs, our injury management team liaises directly with the injured employee, manager, doctor and insurance company to ensure a positive outcome for the employee and the employer.

The aim is to return the employee to full pre-injury duties, as soon as is safely and medically practicable. The process ensures that all parties, including the employee, employer and insurer, are continually kept informed of what is happening, ensuring that all parties stay focused on a positive outcome.

The Legal Framework

Safety First’s innovative program ensures compliance with the new Injury Management Code of Conduct introduced as part of recent workers’ compensation legislation.

A ‘return-to-work’ framework and program is developed in accordance with new legislation and is well documented.

Management are kept informed at all times as to the progress of each individual case to ensure that the ‘return-to-work’ framework is followed in as necessary.

Service for Employers

Safety First will provide employers and insurers with a report of an incident that results in injury and make any recommendations as appropriate.

To follow-up ongoing claims Safety First also provides monthly reports on the status of Worker’s Compensation claims.
